When Martha, who runs a catering business with her best friend, Eleanor, discovers that her husband is ‘playing away’, she is delighted.
Although very fond of her husband, she is fed up being married to him, so she decides that, since Jill owns her own flat, Martin can divorce her and marry Jill. Martin could move in with Jill, say on Sunday!
However, things don’t go according to plan. Martin and Jill fall out and a determined Martha embarks on a series of schemes and stratagems to reunite them which go disastrously wrong.
All this is put on hold when Martha meets George (the father of her son’s friend), Eleanor resigns from Martha’s Kitchen at a most inconvenient time, and Jill is the only candidate to replace
her ... but she can’t cook!
The tangled love lives of their children, Jeremy and Lucinda, also create problems in unexpected ways as this delightful carousel of comedy spins to its not-so-inevitable conclusion.
